The Faculty of Arts of Khanh Hoa University is responsible for training majors in Arts, Music and Dance. Along with the process of more than 40 years of establishment and development of the University (from Phu Khanh School of Culture and Arts, Khanh Hoa Intermediate School of Culture and Arts, Nha Trang College of Culture, Arts, and Tourism, Khanh Hoa University), the Faculty of Arts has trained many generations of musicians, singers, dancers, painters, graphic designers, interior designers and art and music teachers. Many alumni have grown up, asserted themselves with their trained knowledge and skills and made great contributions to Khanh Hoa Province, as well as the south central and central highlands provinces.

About the team

Currently, the Faculty of Arts has a total of 49 lecturers including 33 lecturers with master's degrees, 16 lecturers with university degrees and 4 lecturers are studying doctorate's degrees. All lecturers are trained from major art schools in Vietnam and foreign countries such as national music academies and art universities in countries like the UK, Russia, and Thailand. The teachers are lecturers, musicians, singers, dancers, painters, sculptors, graphic designers or interior designers.

In addition to teaching at Khanh Hoa University, the teachers also participate in local activities held by Central Literary and Artistic Associations. A lot of teachers have won high awards from the Association of Fine Arts and Music. Also, some lecturers have been awarded the title of Excellent Artist.

In terms of cooperation and training, the Faculty of Arts regularly cooperates and exchanges lecturers and students with Art Schools and Music Academies in Vietnam and foreign universities with the European School of Fine Arts in Bretagna - a branch in Lorient, France. Also, the faculty invites some visiting lecturers to work at troupes, perform arts centers, interior design and advertise enterprises to exchange knowledge, experience, and improve training quality.

About the training major

Currently, the Faculty of Arts is training two levels, namely intermediate and college with more than ten training codes including:

Training Motto

During the training process, the Faculty of Arts always focuses on updating professional knowledge and skills, helping graduates to meet the requirements of society. With the training motto "Learning through practice, practical professional experience", all training programs of the Faculty of Arts ensure the number of hours of practice, hands-on experience accounting for 80% of the quantity of the curriculum. From the very first year, students of the Faculty of Arts were able to participate in a great deal of performing arts programs for cultural and tourism events and realistic career experiences at graphic design, advertising and interior architecture enterprises in Nha Trang city.

With the aforementioned training motto, the rate of graduates landing good jobs after graduating from non-pedagogical disciplines of the Faculty of Arts has always reached above 95%. In fact, currently, the human resources in performing arts, graphic design, and interior design trained from the Faculty of Arts of Khanh Hoa University are still unable to meet the requirements of the local enterprises in Nha Trang, which is a major tourist center of the country and a city with the rapid development of urbanization every single day.
