1. Brief history of formation and development
The Faculty of Tourism is one of the leading faculties of Khanh Hoa University, established through the merger of the Faculty of Tourism in Nha Trang Tourism College and the Faculty of Culture and Tourism in Nha trang Education College. As a prestigious tourism training institution in the South Central Coast and Central Highlands, every year, the faculty provides a large number of high-quality human resources for Khanh Hoa province and neighboring provinces, meeting the strict requirements of high-end tourism.
In the early years of its establishment, Khanh Hoa University has associated with schools such as Jeanne d'Arc St.Ivy School (Pontivy, Morbihan, France), businesses such as Amiana Resort Nha Trang, Evason Ana Mandara Nha Trang, Havana Hotel, InterContinental Nha Trang, Mia Resort Nha Trang, Novotel Nha Trang, Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel & Spa, Sunrise Nha Trang Beach Hotel & Spa, Vinpearl Nha Trang Resort, An Lam Retreats Ninh Van Bay, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay, Selectum Noa Resort Cam Ranh and travel companies such as Saigon Tourist, VietTravel, Long Phu Tourism, Young Nha Trang to cooperate in tourism training. This association has created favorable conditions to promote the quality of tourism training at Khanh Hoa University to meet the increasing demand for high human resources in Khanh Hoa province, neighboring areas, and other localities across the country.
We are proud to have a team of young, dynamic, creative, and enthusiastic lecturers. 50% of the lecturers used to work in tourism enterprises, and 30% are still working in the same field.
The Faculty of Tourism is always interested in building and fostering the teaching staff. Out of the total of 30 permanent lecturers, there are three PhDs, four PhDs, and twenty-three MScs. The lecturers are experts who have worked in the fields of Travel and Tourism, Accommodation, Food and Beverages, and Marketing for many years, eight of whom are also Trainers of the Vietnam Tourism Certification Board (VTCB - Vietnam Tourism Certification Board). Domestic and international cooperation is one of the strengths of the Faculty of Tourism. Each year, the faculty invites many visiting lecturers from prestigious universities, research institutions, and tourism companies to improve the quality of teaching.

2. Training and scientific research
The Faculty of Tourism offers multidisciplinary training in two types of courses: long-term and short-term. The standard university program consists of the following majors: Vietnamese Studies (Tour Guide), Tourism and Travel Service Management, Business Administration (Hospitality Management), Business Administration (Retail Management), Hotel Administration, Business Administration (Marketing), Business Administration (Restaurant Food Service) and short-term certificate training program for the following professions: Tour Guide, Hotel/Restaurant Manager, Room Attendant, and Receptionist. In the age of global integration, cooperation, and competition, the Faculty of Tourism continuously improves training programs, takes learners as the center, and trains according to the needs of businesses. With the motto of learning with practice, students are trained to be proficient both in theories and practical skills. In addition, students have plenty of opportunities to enhance their professional skills through excursions and practice sessions in companies. Generations of graduates over the past 20 years have always met the needs of high-quality human resources of enterprises, capable and brave enough to succeed in the professional environment of international corporations.
Apart from training, scientific research is strongly encouraged. Many provincial and academic projects were approved, and more are in progress. The annual Research Conferences attracted a large number of participants to join them and produced results with high applicability. Students doing scientific research are another characteristic of the Faculty of Tourism. Scientific conferences, creative contests, and startup competitions are held on a regular basis to create a dynamic and rewarding academic environment for students.

The student body of the Faculty of Tourism actively participates in activities such as the Olympics (English, non-specialized computer science, etc.), Professional Tour guide, singing contest, and "Nha Trang Tourism Ambassador 2019", etc. Certificates of merit from agencies, departments, and sectors are parts of the evidence for the quality of the student movement of the Faculty of Tourism.
